I am so sorry to hear of Fred Ahlert's passing. He was such a nice and pleasant man. I started in the music business in 1984, and Fred always conducted business in a professional but amiable manner. He added a personal touch to his dealings by getting on the phone to say hello and ask how I was doing. We would talk about a trip I had just taken, or a restaurant he enjoyed.
