Not sure what to say?

Still miss Fred after some 12 years. I still remember visiting him in St. James hospital (now reduced to bits of rubble in flattened real estate). Fred was sleeping while I chatted with Joanne. It tried waking him up (unsuccessfully) by tweaking his big toe. That was the last time I ever saw Fred alive and I miss the many previous encounters when we could exchange thoughts and opinions.

I still miss our regular weekly Wednesday breakfast at The Egg & I. The restaurant isnt the same now either.

Fred and I were coworkers at Allied Structural Steel. I considered him a friend, and even though we hadn't seen each other for some time, I will truly miss him.

Fred was definitely an expert in the field. I know he was the "go-to guy" for many of us involved in steel bridge fabrication. I respected his knowledge and professionalism, and admired his down-to-earth, common sense approach to any issue on the table. He was a good man and he will be missed.

Fred was a true friend and always professional in his work. One of the last Good Guys from Chicago Heights Steel.

I was a co-worker with Fred. No matter what the situation or pressures of the moment, Fred always seemed to maintain composure while addressing the problem at hand. Fred took a genuine interest in those around him, and he always was available if you needed his help. I will always remember Fred with a smile.....Dominic Georgi
