Berdass, Fred P. age 86, of Minnetonka, Minnesota and Boca Raton, Florida, died September 6, 2007. Son of Max and Else Berdass, and survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Margo; children, Daniel and Pearl Berdass, Jeffrey and Connie Berdass and Nancy and Robert Hartman; devoted grandchildren, David Berdass, Ellen and Joey Feldman, Josh Berdass, Benjie, Michael and Joey Hartman, and two special great- grandchildren, Evie and Kira Feldman; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Frank Lubitz; sister-in-law, Ruth Berns; brother-in-law and sister- in-law, Joseph and Fran Moses; cousins, Frank and Paula Cohen; and wonderful nieces and nephews. Fred Berdass was born in Chemnitz, Germany and came to America in 1939. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served with distinction in Europe during World War II. Following the war, Fred and Margo reunited in St. Paul, where in 1947 they founded Bermo Inc., a manufacturing company. Fred was active in a variety of civic and communal affairs, and was regularly sought out for his advice and counsel on important community projects, for which he provided generous support. Fred belonged to the Adath Jeshurun Synagogue for sixty years, and served on its board of directors. Fred will be remembered for his quiet wisdom and strength of character. He lived a full and successful life, and was an inspiration to his friends and family. We will always remember his friendly, welcoming nature and his quiet, strong community leadership. His memory will always be a blessing for his loving family and those of us in the community that were privileged to be counted among his many friends. I'm sure you remember my father Dominic G., he proudly worked with Fred for many years and had a Great respect for his integrity, devotion and exceptional abilities. Our family will always be grateful to you and Fred for your friendship, generosity and kindness in past years, and we'll cherish the many fond memories...

The service for Fred today was absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing the remarkable story of his life. This was the most personal tribute that I have ever witnessed and was honored to be a part of it. My heartfelt sympathies go out to the entire Berdass family.
