Fred was a fine person as well as a proud Marine. We first met at Wpns Co, 1/24 and he was always a pleasure to serve with. I also played in a band with his Father Ed. The loss of these two good men is extremely hard to fathom.They will be missed. Ralph Decker

Dear Family & Friends;

I knew Fred well as a young man when we both served in the Marines. I was his squad leader and friend. Fred was bright, had a sharp wit and made me laugh. He made an impression on many who served with him. I think of him often. I want recognize and honor his service.

Bollinger family:
I was very sorry to hear about Fred's passing. I was Fred's First Sergeant at Weapons Company in Toledo. I saw Fred mature from a young private to a knowledgeable and respected Non-Commissioned Officer. He was well liked by his fellow Marines and was known for his sense of humor. It was a pleasure to serve with him.

Semper Fidelis!

I have only known Fred for about a year. I work at Powell Company where he would come in and purchase items for Marcos Pizza. We always talked about his loving son and his progress. He was so proud of his wife and her music inspiration to students. He will be missed, I am sure, by so many. God bless. Kathy Tarka, Sylvania, OH

Fred, Thanks for bringing so much joy to my dear frind Jennifer's life. Together you brought Mark into this world and created a world for him to be his own person. You were taken to young. Abe Lincoln said "It is not the years in the life that counts - IT IS THE LIFE IN THE YEARS THAT MATTERS!" From what jennifer has shared with me, you truly were a family man and helped her with her career and to build the sense of family you have. Find your peace, Fred. I will pray for you. I will pray...

Gene, Jenn & little Marky - My heartfelt condolences go out to you & all of Fred's loved ones. Fred was always willing to go out of his way to help anyone who needed it. He had such a huge heart & always spoke so lovingly of his beautiful wife & his cherished little Marky. I feel honored to have known him & will dearly miss seeing him everyday at the office. Prayers for all of you at this difficult time.
