Not sure what to say?

Having known Dawn from Law School, I spoke with Mr. Bruner every time I saw him, his personna and cheer making my day. Proud of his family, he was a true treasure, never to be forgotten.

Fred Bruner was larger than life. He was like the image of John Wayne but more fun. Dawn was my best friend thru my childhood. Fred treated me just like another daughter, which meant special treatment. I don't know how he managed to be a top notch attorney and always have time for all his kids. He always made sure Dawn and I got out to the farm every weekend to be with our horses. In fact, he always made sure all his kids were doing whatever he/she loved to do. This laid back but...

Dawn and family:
I do so wish I could be there with you on Saturday at the services. It's been so long that you may not remember me: not only was my first job as a lawyer with Fred's firm, but even earlier, we lived down the block from you on Clary Drive. I wish I had been more assiduous about tracking Fred down in the past few years to tell him personally, but he continues to live large in my memory. I lost my dad, one of Fred's many good friends, contemporaries and neighbors, in January...

Dawn, Dan and family,
I know you will miss your Dad a great deal. I'm sorry for your loss and honored that I was able to meet him. Capture his spirit and live every day sharing life's blessings and your talents.
Much love,

I had the honor of meeting Mr. Bruner only one time, but that honor was extended in knowing some of his children, Bob, David (and wife Cindy), and Kelly. What a great Family, because of such a great Dad and Mom.

What a great life you lead Mr. Bruner! What a great legacy you leave. Thank you for that.

Dawn and family,

Sadly, we have lost another great Democrat! Highland Park will never be the same. Fred was the little guy's hero, and we need more like him. May he rest in peace.

Dawn,
My prayers are with you and your family.
Love,

My father W.H. Cothrum was friends with Fred for many years. As a young adult my husband and our 4 children went to visit your parents at their farm and had a wondrful time. I have many fond memories of both of them. He was a really nice man.
