Alan was a really special man for me. He reminded me of my hero, my dad. I always said that if they ever started speaking, we wouldn't be able to pull them apart. They're just alike, and they'd wind up talking like little girls at a slumber party til sunrise, Just being awesome. Me and Katie will surely miss his wonderful presence and the miracle that is him. Truly sorry to hear this. I knew Alan for40 or 45 years, First when he and his brother worked with my dad at Cheney Bigelo and then when we went to Shelby County High. I worked with him for many years at E.C. Gaston. He was always a good friend to me. I will be praying for you,P.J. And your family.
