Fred "Chick" Chigazola

We were sorry to learn of Fred's passing. We met Fred and Don (& Don's wife) in 1998 for dinner in Santa Rosa as we'd been researching our Chichizola genealogy. He told us of his changing the Chighizola name to Chigazola. We had been in correspondence with his brother Bill Chighizola for many years. May your loving memories of Fred ease his passing. Don and Robert, Sorry to hear of your loss. I just saw John Murphy in Safeway New Year's Eve and you both were topics of conversation. Don you and I went to San Juan together, Bob I met you at Deavers in November and we reminisced. You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

Bob; I'm very sorry to hear about your fathers passing. Your DAD was a regular "fixture" in the PARKOAKS neighborhood for the entire time I lived in Citrus Heights. Fred gave me his WWII surplus electronic equipment to learn on, took me to house fires with CHFD, he also worked with me in my communications buiness back in the early 1980's. I have fond memories of Fred, and will miss him.

To the family of "Chief Chick". We were friends for many years. After he retired in the early 60"s. we kept in touch all these years by Christmas cards. He was my first shop chief when I entered the aviation community in 1958. He was an insperation to me during my career. I never remember an angry word from him. He taught me electronics and an appreciation for music. CAVU and tail winds. May he enter the lords squadron.

Don, I was a close friend of Laureen's. We met at the WF bank when my husband and I lived in Sacto. in the 70's. She would come here to visit when we moved back. I still miss Laureen tremendously and think of her often. I met your parents while in Sacto. and was at their house several times. So sorry to hear of your dad's passing, but hopefully you can take comfort that he was here with you. My thoughts and prayers will be with you at this time. Judy in Santa Rosa
