Not sure what to say?

We still think fondly of our high school days and Mr. Corbus. As I read obituaries I see more and more of our classmates leaving us on their here after journey. We will see him again in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Now with most of his students in their 70's and many who have made their journey to the hereafter, those of us that are still here can reflect back on the carefree days of high school and the wonderful teachers we had. Mr. Corbus was certainly in that group. He was a genuinely nice man and cared for his students.

My sincere sympathy to Mr. Corbus' family for their loss. Fred Corbus was my 8th grade math teacher and Homeroom teacher. I have many good memories of that time and this man. Being less than perfect, I remember his paddle - my name is on it somewhere, and I deserved what I got. It was normal and accepted at that time (and maybe should be again).

Fred was a good man and a good teacher, and he will be missed by many.

My sincere sympathy to the family and friends. He now safely rests in the memory of our Grand Creator.(Psalm 56:8). May we all take refuge in the peace, comfort and hope through Him.

Mr. Corbus was a great teacher and a good man and a wonderful role model for all the young people who's lives he touched. He was a gentle giant and had the respect of all his students. My sincere condolences to the Corbus family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

To the Corbus family. So sorry about your loss. Mr.Corbus was my football, and basketball coach when I was in Jr. High. Very nice man. With much respect Sidney Byrd. .

Mr. Corbus was my driver's ed. teacher when I was learning to drive a car. I didn't need my driver's license until I was going into my senior year in high school, so that was the summer of 1963. Bridgett Ufkes and Bev Wilbon were in my diving group. Unfortunately, Bev is also gone now.
I was sorry to hear Mr. Corbus has left us, but I'm glad he had a nice, long life, especially after what he'd been through in college.

You will be missed Mr. Corbus. Love Roxanne Hunt

I have many great memories of Mr Corbus at the old middle school on 26th st. He was one of the best and will be missed.
