Rev. Fred Dixon, Jr. , age 86, transitioned from Labor to Reward, Friday, June 26, 2015 peacefully in his sleep. He was the Pastor of Gospel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 3919 Wipprecht, Houston, Texas 77026, for 54 faithful years. He was the Moderator of the Progressive Peaceful Union District Association for over 40 years. He leaves to cherish his memory; Children: Jerry Erstin Dixon (Patricia), Catha Ann Dixon Edwards, Janet Lynn Dixon Ford (Henry), adopted son Rev. Max A Miller (Rhonda), daughter-in-law Cora Luke Dixon. Grandchildren: Leroy Dixon, Jr., Derrick Eugene Dixon, Terrerace Torrey Dixon (Nelwynd), Roshanna Nacole Dixon Augillard (Brian), Jennifer Dixon Mayes (Joseph), Mallory Edwards, Henry Russell Ford (Shannon), Faith Miller, Miracle Miller & Laderenia Dixon. Great Grandchildren: Tarvia Teshay Dixon, Madison Alexzandria Augillard, Connor Alexander Augillard, Terreance Torrey Dixon, Jr., Aiyana Nicole Dixon, Micah Russell Ford, Trenton Russell Ford, Dadrian Russell Ford, Donovan Russell Ford Gavin Russell Ford. Brothers: L.D. Dixon & Cleveland Dixon of Hammond, Louisiana. Sisters: Sarah Franklin of Gloster, Mississippi & Ruby Justice. The Gospel Hill Missionary Baptist Church Family and a host of relatives and friends. The arrangements are as follows: Thursday, July 2, 2015, Viewing will held from 4:00 – 7:30p.m. at Gospel Hill Missionary Baptist Church- 3919 Wipprecht Street, Houston, Tx. 77026. Memorial Service will begin at 7:30p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 , at Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church- 7817 Calhoun Rd., Houston, Tx. 77033. Viewing will be from 9:00 – 10:45a.m. The Celebration will begin at 11:00a.m. Interment- Houston Memorial Gardens.

Fred Dixon Jr. was one of the few Great men that I've known in my life, I grew up in his house (friends with Janet Lynn); Rev was a man of deep beliefs, a true Godly Man, there was no true faithful labor of God than he, a great leader at home in his Church and his community to sum it up I can say from my 50yrs of knowing him there is no other like him..Matthew 25:21
