Douglas Family,

Mr. Douglas was a force to be reckoned with. As a young person living on his street I could see how proud my parents (Willie and Deasrie Thomas) were of him. He was Steelton's Gentle Giant. He was strong, smart, and tall and he had the admiration and respect of everyone. We were and are blessed to have had him as a part of our lives as well as Mrs. Pauline. In addition, I thank you for your encouragement with Midland Cemetery. Blessings and love to you...

I was sorry to learn of the passing of Chief Douglas. I had the pleasure of working with him in the early 1970's when I was a Parole Officer. He was an outstanding leader and certainly was a pioneer in the field of law enforcement. I want to extend my sympathy to his family.

Aunt Pauline and Freddie my prayers go out to you both. The girls and I send our love and support to you. May God keep you close and near.
