Not sure what to say?

He was my mentor and friend. I will always remember his love for his family. He held his wife, Esther, in extremely high esteem; he talked about her and the kids, Doug and Karen all the time. They were number one in his life. He also was passionate in his support of his causes/beliefs....politics, union rights, etc. But his legacy is carried on by the hundreds of students he taught and mentored over his career. I will never forget Fred Forman.....what a man!

I started teaching at Jordan in 1968. We were on double sessions so I had the opportunity to observe other teachers. Fred invited me to attend some of his classes. I observed him teaching a class on South American history. During that hour I was rather surprised that I was learning so much myself about the topics he covered. His lesson was meticulously planned and brilliantly executed. All of the students in the class were engaged. He was an excellent model and mentor. I am honored to...

Fred will be remembered by many, including those of us he worked with. As a beginning teacher he and I had many interesting discussions. As you know, he could debate or ask the most challenging questions, then close leaving one thinking, and he smiling.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr. Forman was one of my favorite teachers ever. I will always remember him.
With sincere sympathy,
Julie Rizzi Nelson

I began my teaching career at the old Jordan School in 1965. Fred was recognized as a model teacher. There were seven or eight new teachers that year. Fred mentored us all. He and Esther were gifted in the area of service to others. They were passionate towards their "causes."
I will continue to keep the entire family in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He and Esther were both extraordinary people and I have missed their company for all these years.

Doug and Karen...So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Healing hugs and prayers to you both and your families.....
