Not sure what to say?

Mr. Green was so instrumental in the black community of Emporia, Virginia. He was a leader, and a role model as a God fearing , family center, community engaged, and inspiring black man. he provided a path of employment as a lifeguard, that has allowed me to help many people learn how to swim. I am sure I speak for all of the CYC kids, and families. You blessed us! Alfonza Riley

This hurts me to my soul! He was my teacher, my inspiration and he always tried his best to keep me out of trouble. I remember him picking me up to help him and his wife in the yard. Boyce inspired me to make music and Kyle inspired me to want a family. He always had me learning something and encouraged me to do my best. I would not have made it if it were not for him. I loved him like a father and after I moved to NC my wife would always tell me to call Mr. Green and check on him, I thought...

Our condolences to Kyle and Boyce and the their families. Our prayers of love, peace and comfort are with you all.

Condolences to Joseph and other family members. Memories of Fred will forever linger with you; they will comfort you as time go by.

I never had a father. I wished all the time that if I did have a father, he would be like Me. Green. I wished that Mr. Green was my dad. I will miss him dearly and I will ALWAYS love him like a father. Richard Simmons
