He shared his wisdom freely and often with a wonderful sense of humor, and if you were lucky enough to be in his orbit for any length of time, you left better for it. My condolences especially to his family...they shared their dad willingly for decades but the pain they feel is uniquely theirs.

When Judy and I came to St. Bonaventure in 1974, Fred and Anita made us feel immediately welcomed. Fred over the years in many ways became the embodiment of all that is good about SBU. Remembering Fred, my condolences to the entire Handler family.
