Not sure what to say?

Was a pleasure to have worked for General Hayes . A very professional Marines,

Dear Bonnie and Family, Through General Haynes and "Lions of Iwo JIma" I learned of Capt. Aaron Gove Wilkins, a Dartmouth graduate or 1942, a college where I teach. I once spoke with General Haynes on the telephone about Capt Wilkins and his heroism on Iwo Jima and death on March 1, 1945. I only wish that I could have met General Haynes in person. God Bless you. Gordon

Dear Mrs. Haynes:
I had the opportunity to serve with the General on Okinawa in 1973-1974. By far the best officer I have had the privilege of serving with. God Bless you and your family.

Dear Bonnie,
During your years in Ankara you were Auntie Bonnie and Uncle Fred for me and my sister Nur. You were dear friends of my parents Gen. Huseyin and Leman Turgut. They both passed away many years ago. I remember your family (I think you had twin sons) and occasional gifts (toys) that you would give me. I pray for Uncle Fred's soul and wish all of you the very best.

Ms. Bonnie, how very proud you must be of your husband and the great life that he lived. My heart goes out to you and your family. Please know that to my generation and others, stories of such great men renew faith in our country, even with their deeds done long before our time. Peace be with you.

Great Marine!

Dear Bonnie,

Nancy and I are praying for you and your family. May Fred enjoy fair winds and following seas. He is missed.
