Fred Garland Hiatt Sr.

Mr. Fred Garland Hiatt, Sr., 59, of LaGrange passed away Friday in his sleep. While on a business trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mr. Hiatt was born in Ft. Payne, Alabama November 25, 1944, Son of the late Wilber Garland and Anna Anderson Hiatt. He lived in LaGrange for 14 years, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Atlanta. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of Elaine Winn Hiatt, three sons, Fred Garland Hiatt, jr. of Palm Coast, Florida, Wesley Hiatt of Houston, Texas, and Greg Hiatt of Bunnell, Florida; Two Grandchildren, Justin and Joshua Hiatt, and a sister , Mary Louis Sumner of Jacksonville, Florida.

The funeral services for Mr. Hiatt will be held at 2:00 o’clock this (Tuesday) afternoon from Southwest LaGrange Baptist Church, with Rev. Paul Ott officiating.
