Fred Kampfer

Fred and I worked together at the Milwaukee, WI Field Office. As first-office FBI agents, we bonded in friendship while we were developing our investigative skills. Unconventional Fred was one of the most adventurous, amiable, ambitious and amusing individuals I've ever met. Being the father of four young children, he happily rented a large house on the outskirts of Milwaukee even though it was located adjacent to a cemetery because it was spacious and "cheap".
