I considered Freddy a great friend. He and I would sit by the pool at Hunters Ridge and chat. We got along so well. When I moved, I would call him and go over to hang out at the pool with him just so we could talk. He was always so kind to everyone! He is definitely missed. I first met Fred in 1977 when he hired me as an agent with Penn Mutual Life Insurance. He was a trusted mentor and when I stopped working for him and took a job with State Farm Insurance in 1984, Fred encouraged my move. Our friendship was strong from day one.
