Frederick E. Klepper Jr.


It is with great sadness that the family of Frederick E. Klepper announces his passing on October 31, 2023, at the age of 91 years. 


Fred graduated from Arsenal Technical high school in 1950 and soon married the love of his life Barbara Fox. He was a faithful husband and hard-working dad. Fred enjoyed golf and led his league for many years. Fred was a supervisor at Allisons Transmissions and retired in 1991 after 40 years of service. He was also a volunteer firefighter for Wayne Township for many years obtaining the rank of captain. He was a member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ.


Fred will be lovingly remembered by his sister: Marjorie Fox, children: Linda (Jim) Carne, Donna Myers, Michael (Cheryl) Klepper, Cheryl Carmack, Fred (Nancy) Klepper. Also by his grandchildren: Brittany Friesner, Nichole (Maurice) Powell, Sara (Tyler) Phelps, Holly (Joe) McDonald, Stephen (Chloe) Klepper, Lucas (Taylor) Klepper, Stephanie Klepper, Rob (Alexie) Peck, and by his great granddaughters: Aysia, India, Jayla, Aliya Powell, and Eva Beswick. Fred also will be forever remembered by extended family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years Barbara J Fox Klepper, His Parents Fred and Alice Klepper, his brother and sister-in-law: William and Joan Klepper, his brother-in-law: John Fox, his Grandson: Anthony Klepper, his son-in-law Calvin Myers.


A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Conkle Funeral Home Speedway on Saturday November 11, 2023. Burial will follow service at Crown Hill Cemetery.  


In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Zion Evangelical UCC.
