Not sure what to say?

So very sad about my life long friend´s passing. From Jefferson High school to my room mate at UT Austin we shared a lot of adventures together. He was a fun guy and a far cry from the intellect he wound up to be. Over the last year we connected via the internet and shared our battles with cancer. RIP Fred. You have had a very full, productive life that have enriched the lives of a lot of people tat have leaned from your art and literature. Thank you also for my signed copy of Leonardo´s...

Fred made a big impression on a lot of people in our little town. Friendly and interested in everybody and everything, he was a real example and inspiration about living life to the fullest, with enthusiasm and courage. What a sharp mind and curious, perceptive eye. We'll all remember you with affection, Fred. Fly free!!

Fred was special to many of us back in the day. Two examples: He was the first journalist to interview Charlie Manson in prison. He also was the first gallery owner to ever show my photos in his place by the Roundhouse. Great friend.

Love you Fred.
