I was saddened to hear of the pass of Coach Fred Lange. I have many fond memories as one of his swimmers at Clearfield High School. He was a dedicated coach who provided me with a different workout because my events were distance events. I have always been impressed with his demonstrated concern and dedication to each swimmer on the team. Coach Lange was one of the key adults in my 'growing' up years. I'm posting a couple of pictures from my years at CHS on the swim team. The words in the article about Coach Lange in 1983 still hold true today.

We were happy to see Fred at the Clearfield swimming pool in January. Even though he arrived late for the reunion of CHS swim team members, he was able to visit with many of them and pose for several pictures. He was a good friend and respected educator. We enjoyed going to dinner with him that night.
