Grove of 100 Memorial Trees

Dr. Linthicum was my doctor when I was a child; he performed the mastoid surgery I needed and continued to see me regularly after that. I recall him as quiet, very patient and always concerned about my comfort. A wonderful man--and fine physician! And what a productive, long life....

Dr. Linthicum was my doctor for several years when I was a child and was the surgeon for my 3rd (when I was 7) and 4th (when I was 14) ear surgeries. He was always funny and kind. He made a big, positive difference in my life, with his skill and with his compassion, which I've carried with me always. May his spirit know happiness.

Fred was a wonderful friend, colleague, and mentor for many years. He helped me secure a fellowship at HEI in the 1980s and provided important guidance during that time. We consulted and collaborated on research regularly thereafter. He was a true gentleman, who enriched every life he touched. We respect his many contributions to our field. We will miss him and his wonderful wife Jeanne.

Dinner at The Compound Santa Fe

Has the family picked a date for Celebration of life in April? Diane and I plan to attend as well as visiting friends in Montecito and Monterey.

Fred was a real jewel. I don't know who inspired him, but like his original partners he was dedicated to advancing the science of medicine by research and teaching.

I will miss Fred. I thoroughly enjoyed his talks at meetings, and his otologic expertise. He, and Richard Goode, who also recently passed away, certainly left their footprint on our specialty.

Fred was an incredible mentor and friend. He always made it apparent that his family and science were his true loves. God rest his beautiful soul.
