Fred Milton McCracken

Fred Milton McCracken Sr., 82, of Basin, Wyoming passed away on June 20, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family. Fred was born to Silas Burt McCracken and Mable Leah Schenk right in Basin Wyoming on October 5, 1938. Fred was a simple man who loved to fish and hunt, and loved his family more than anything else. He served in the Army as a marksman from 1967 until 1973 when he was honorably discharged. Fred was a longtime resident of Basin, Wyoming and lived there most of his life besides the time he did in the service and the few years that he lived with his own family in Michigan.

Fred is preceded in death by his wife, Jewel McCracken as well as his father Silas B. McCracken Sr., his brother, Silas B. McCracken Jr., and two sisters. There will be a private graveside ceremony for Fred at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atwood Family Funeral Directors.
