Fred Ost

Mrs. Ost, family and Amy,
Fred and the Ost Family were such a big part of my high school days. Fred always loomed large in the halls of Revere. Somehow, I always escaped detention for being late to school but my brother did not. This is a favorite family story. As well as the sports car Homecoming mix up that Fred calmly fixed. I have many fond memories of your family. I'm thinking of you all at this time of loss. I know you will miss him tremendously.

Please accept my prayers and sympathy on the death of Fred. I always enjoyed our conversations.

Kathy, Fred was such an inspiration to so many of us... and his tireless efforts to make a difference at STVM did not go unnoticed... and to me personally, he was like no other... Fred Ost was teacher and coach during my years at Revere (class of 1968). A kind and gentle man. He and Kathy become good friends with my mother and my stepfather, Lily and Evan Bender. My mom would relay many stories to me about the travel and fun the enjoyed through their retirement years with Fred and Kathy. Fred delivered a wonderful eulogy when Evan Bender passed in 2004. Fred was well thought of by so many students at Revere. He was kind and encouraging to all— a man of integrity. He surely left his mark on many lives.

So so sorry to hear about Fred.. He was a part of much of my life...can,t even remember not knowing him: family friend, high school teacher, football coach, administration, Bath Fire Dept, and our kids
grew up together up together..
