Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Ost, family and Amy,
Fred and the Ost Family were such a big part of my high school days. Fred always loomed large in the halls of Revere. Somehow, I always escaped detention for being late to school but my brother did not. This is a favorite family story. As well as the sports car Homecoming mix up that Fred calmly fixed. I have many fond memories of your family. I'm thinking of you all at this time of loss. I know you will miss him tremendously.

Please accept my prayers and sympathy on the death of Fred. I always enjoyed our conversations.
Sincerely,
Sr. Marlene LoGrasso, OSU

Kathy, Fred was such an inspiration to so many of us... and his tireless efforts to make a difference at STVM did not go unnoticed... and to me personally, he was like no other... I am still unable to get out and attend his services this week, but, my heart is with you as you all celebrate the life of this amazing man... Please know you are all in my prayers and thoughts ... God Bless you all as you celebrate Fred...

Dear Mrs. Ost and family,
My name is Tim Carras and I was a player for Coach on the 1970 St. Ed’s Crown Conference championship team. Coach was also my position coach as I played defensive back. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed playing for him and what a kind man I always thought he was. A true gentleman and all of us players loved playing for him. That 1970 team was the most successful team in school history up to that point and much of our success was due to his leadership. He...

Dear Ost Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Please take care.

Fred Ost was teacher and coach during my years at Revere (class of 1968). A kind and gentle man. He and Kathy become good friends with my mother and my stepfather, Lily and Evan Bender. My mom would relay many stories to me about the travel and fun the enjoyed through their retirement years with Fred and Kathy. Fred delivered a wonderful eulogy when Evan Bender passed in 2004. I thank him, and Kathy, for being such good companions with my parents. I am sorry Kathy, and the OST family, for...

Molding so many students with kindness and discipline when needed. Remarkable man and a remarkable life well lived. May the Lord bless and watch over your family as you, no doubt, are in his heavenly glory.

With Love, Stephen. Revere class of '87

Fred was well thought of by so many students at Revere. He was kind and encouraging to all— a man of integrity. He surely left his mark on many lives.

You are in my prayers Kathy. Your children are too!
