Not sure what to say?

Fred will be missed by many. He had developed a lot of good friends through the years. Our favorite memories will definitely be the 'fishing stories'. Now that we think about it... It's not the (it was a perfect day) stories that stand out in our minds. It is the funnier stories of 'foul-ups' - 'you won't believe this' - 'somebody cut the line' etc.... Those are the ones that stand out the most! Good Memories of Fred !! The Hester's send our condolences to the Family.

Although Fred Piper and I did not spend a lot of time together, I always enjoyed seeing and talking with him on those occasions when I would stop by the shop for a short visit with everybody. Also, I used to see him frequently when I was employed at Bobby Murray Chevrolet and he would come into the parts department. We would enjoy speaking to each other about Jeff and Pam's whereabouts all over the world.
I remember very well our last time together. It was a few weeks ago when we were...

Pam and Dane ... what a loving tribute you gave for your dad at yesterday's service. I know he is smiling and so very proud of you. Your memories of all the good times hopefully will help you in the weeks to come. My thoughts and prayers are with the two of you and also Jeff, Laura and Joyce.

We were so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. It was our pleasure to do business with him for nearly 30 years. We considered Fred a friend and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Dane and family,
We were all so shocked and truly saddened to hear of Fred's passing. We all thought very fondly of him. Our prayers are with you all.

With every fishing trip we collect some mementoes, though few are collected in scrapbooks. All of us who fish collect them. They are the images collected from first light to last and from first fish to last. And we’ll share them in a minute if we find someone who will listen. Some of us recall triumphs often preserved in snapshots and clippings, while others we hide until the time we are ready to laugh about them. Fishing is all about daybreaks, line breaks, heartbreaks, foggy mornings,...

Fred introduced me to deer hunting when I was fourteen. We shared many days at the Triangle Wildlife Club. Happy hunting and may you find that buck of your dreams. Delmer King

Sorry, To hear about Fred he was a great guy.A great person to everyone.

We could never express in words the extent of our sadness and how heavy our hearts are over losing Fred. We've shared many laughs, hugs, meals and good times with him and Glenda. Topsail Island and TOFC will never be the same without Fred. Yet, his memory and legacy will live on thru the lives of Dane, Laura, Pam and his grandchildren. Our family will especially miss hearing him on the radio while we're out on the water or at the beach house. "Death leaves a heartache on one can heal. Love...
