FRED PRESS

He was an important American artist whose impact in graphic design and bronze work was major in the late 1940s and 1950s. I am sorry that I never got to meet Mr Press, in fact there was so little information available about him on line in the past, I had to purchase a 1950 copy of American Artist to get a bio of him. I am Robin Rosa, Freddie's niece. I would take my grandmother and my mother, Frances to visit with Uncle Freddie at his home. He was extremely warm and caring, and I enjoyed talking with him. The day of my grandmother's funeral, Uncle Freddi drew me on a piece of paper and we talked. He made me feel less sad and calm. He had that way about him.

i have found memories of my uncle ,i remember wheni was very young and he use to visit us and we would be so excited and i would make sur ei got to sit next to him on the couch ,and when christmas came we would get a box of presants ,and he would always send us bathrobes,i just love the bathrobes.as i got older we didnt stay intouch. my prayers are with his family .so sorry for your loss

My name is Lillian Hardy, I was Uncle Fred's sister Mary's first grandaughter, I am the one that spoke at my grandmother's funeral at the temple as I said then, i always remember wonderful memories of Uncle Fred.
