FRED QUELLER Obituary

QUELLER--Fred, died Sunday, September 21, 2025 at his home in Los Angeles, CA, he was 93 years old. Fred was raised in Spanish Harlem, attended Stuyvesant High School, City College of New York, and NYU Law School. A trial attorney and fierce and transformative advocate for victims' rights, Fred attained a local and national reputation as one of top personal injury lawyers in the country. He served as president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association in 1984 and 1985. Fred was married to his beloved Stephanie Queller until her death from cancer in 2003. He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Queller and Danielle Queller, his sons-in-law, Bill Prady and Bruce Lifton, his grandchildren, Miles Lifton and Sophie Queller, his nephew Michael Queller and family. A funeral service will be held at Frank E. Campbell-The Funeral Chapel, 1076 Madison Avenue, New York, New York 10028 on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Basser Center for BRCA at Penn Medicine.

A giant in trial practice and as the leader of NYSTLA during the "tort reform crisis" of '84-'85. More important was that he was a Mensch, especially when I was a younger colleague of his when I became active in NYSTLA.
