Not sure what to say?

I'm sorry to be late in my condolences. My mother, Peggy Sankey, and Fred were close. He was a wonderful person to her and me. RIP

So very sorry to learn of his passing. He was such a gentleman and one of the reasons BHS was a great place!

I always enjoyed talking to him, being instructed by him in PE and being chastised by him when he was the assistant principal. I considered him a friend. He'll be missed by me. I've thought about him from time to time.

Mr. Schoeck was a no nonsense kind of guy with a heart of gold. As Student Council President in 1969, i got to know the Schoeck-Hesche team that helped Dr. Heter run Berea High School. Fair and tolerant, Fred was very likable, as long as you followed the rules. God help you if you kept testing those ropes. Dispensing discipline with integrity and justice, he was a hard man to "con"---if you did (or tried) it once, you never had the opportunity to do it again. Trust, honesty, friendship...

My sincere condolences to Fred's family. As a teacher at Berea H.S. I was privileged to know Fred, and he was a good friend and classmate of my brother, John Jeremiah. They played sports together at Parma Senior H.S. and both joined the USMC. Fred was a fine man.

My sincere condolences go out to,as Fred would say, the girls. What a great Father. He loved all of you so much and always talked about how good his girls treated him.

Goodbye dear friend and rest in peace.

Fred Schoeck - a stabilizing force in the hallowed hallways of Berea HS - back in my day: circa 1966-1969. Thank you Fred !!

My deepest condolences to Mr Schoeck's family. He was a very good and fair man. His passing is a loss for us all.

I was truly saddened to learn of Fred's passing. I was the catcher on Fred's Berea High School baseball teams in '60, '61, and '62. Fred was the primary reason that I joined the United States Marine Corps. When I was medevaced from Vietnam to Bethesda Naval Hospital in 1969 Fred accompanied my parents on one of their hospital visit trips. For the last several years Tommy Helwick and I have called Fred while we attended an Indians Spring Training game in Goodyear, AZ.

Semper Fi, Fred.
