Fred, aka Donald Duck, whenever I would play in the backyard,I would eventually hear the "duck quack" letting us know you were outside too! Our families are so close, from board game nights to pool nights and barbeques. My special jump into the water used to make you laugh so much, I promise to do it for you whenever I can!! Keep Rosie company for us. We love all you Welges--Christine

We are so very lucky to have known Mr. Welge, or Paw, and that we were able to visit him recently and have our youngest children get to know him and the rest of the Welges. Best wishes to Mrs. Welge. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We love you.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Fred's pasing. He was my first foreman at Grumman back in 1980. At the time, I was just a young kid starting out on a long career and he mentored myself and many other young kids who were "green". Fred made a lasting impression on me that I will always remember. God speed Freddy!
