I was lucky enough to see Freddy perform twice at Birdland. What a treat! Extraordinary talent. That beautiful smokey voice of his and the way his hands moved over the piano keys with such ease and style. So , so sad to hear of his passing. I will cherish my memories of him and will continue to listen to his music with a smile.
