Not sure what to say?

Thank you Eric for having laid the groundwork for our Alliance Francaise and for your devotion to its mission to promote les valeurs de la République. Thanks to your efforts and great enthusiasm, we'll be celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2021! We wish Anne, your family and friends good health and well-being while under siege from the pandemic, and assurances that the AFLCR will survive for many years to come so that francophiles from everywhere can benefit from your vision and legacy.

Anne,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers and send you a big hug.

Anne - We were very saddened to learn of Eric's passing. We so enjoyed becoming acquainted with both of you through activities at the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge as you were great supporters of efforts there. And we loved receiving Eric's paintings on your Christmas cards as he was very talented and his artwork was quite distinctive. We are thinking of you during this difficult time.

Dear Anne and Family,
It is with great sadness that I learn of Eric's passing. I knew him in earlier days of the Alliance Française; he was unfailingly energetic, welcoming, and of good cheer to all. He will be missed by many. I send my sincerest condolences.

Dear Anne,

it is with great sadness and helplessness that I find myself saying farewell to "l'oncle Eric" from across the Atlantic Ocean. I wish I could attend the service, but unfortunately I am in the middle of my exams.
I want to thank you and Eric for welcoming us several times to your former home of Burlington. I have very fond childhood memories of silly things like your delicious lemonade but also lovely moments such as hiking in the mountains, Eric teaching me how to...

To the Bataille family: Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of the father and friend to many. May he be at peace.

Dear Anne and Family,

From afar, I'm having fond memories of Eric. When I was Mayor, Eric was immensely helpful in connecting Burlington with our French roots. He was a superb Honorary Consul and did a great job with Alliance Francaise. I'll remember his wit, his smile, and gentle and selfless spirit.

We were so fortunate to have met and had Eric and Anne as our neighbors in St. Albans. I'll always remember Eric for his beautifully drawn Christmas cards, his soft and gentle manner, good humor and beautiful smile. There's no doubt Ivan and Eric are currently enjoying a glass of wine and toasting to a life well lived.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Eric's passing. My deepest sympathies to Anne and family. I am glad I had the chance to know him
