I thought of another wonderful memory of Fred. While he was in Nigeria, he had a house man named Adamu. When Fred left, his thanks to Adamu was a trip to Mecca. What a wonderful, perfect, gift.

Fred was my go-to person. When I saw him, whether it was days or years since our last visit, the conversation picked up as if we had only paused for a few minutes. His friendship was a blessing. To Betty, Sofia, Nathan, and Susanna, our sincere condolences at this sad time.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I always enjoyed visits from "Uncle" Freddie. He was a kind and caring man. Always had a smile or laugh to share. May God be with your family.
