My condolences, prayers, and remembrance at Mass for Fred, a Holy Cross classmate, and his family.

I met Fred & Betty when I was stationed @ Beaufort SC (Naval Hospital) 1968/69. Still have fond memories of their son Michael & their Great Dane (Baron). Betty, I am sorry for your loss.

Rip Dr Ayers prayers with ur family . Paula

Fred graduated a year ahead of me a Hingham HS and Holy Cross. We both waited table and skated for HC. And both ended up at SS Hospital. A great guy. RIP

Greatly enjoyed the photo album giving us a look into Fred's life. Remember Fred from our Holy Cross days, he was always a down to earth cordial soul. He accomplished a lot in his life, served his country honorably, served his community well and he and Elizabeth served their family well. Marty O'Connor, classmate '61'.

Dr. Ayers was one of the best men that i have ever known. i worked as clerk at SSH many years ago, and he was always making all of us laugh & feel like we were part of the team.
My sincere condolences to all of his family & friends.

Our condolences to the Ayers family, we know your loss is deep. We only knew Fred the last few years of his life, but admired him greatly and enjoyed his company. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Brenda & Harry Titus
