Not sure what to say?

I am terribly sad, as is everyone at Rebirth of Reason.com, to hear of Fred's passing. He was a very active and admired member there and always fun to read. I'll miss him very much. You're welcome to join the site and search for his many many posts and quips.

Fred Bartlett

Fred was active on at least two philosophy discussion boards, Objectivist Living and Rebirth of Reason. We just learned of his passing. I believe that we all found his wit, wisdom, and insight entertaining and informative. He never had a detractor, and he was seldom contradicted. He was appreciated for his integrity, wide knowledge, practical experience, and dedication to the highest principles.

Jayne, Michael & Eric, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I have no words....

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I only had the pleasure of meeting your husband (and dad) once in person. His energy, wit, intelligence and kindness will live on forever. Again, so sorry for this incredibly sad time in your lives. What a loss for this world.

Dear Jayne, Michael & Eric,
We are saddened to learn of Fred's passing. He was a great colleague on many projects and a good friend. We were just talking about him to our children after receiving the family Christmas card - he (and your family) had given our children personalized towel holders several years ago that still hang prominently in their bathroom. He will be deeply missed. We are blessed to have known him. Our thoughts are with you all.

Dear Jayne, Michael and Eric,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so grateful to have met Fred a few years ago. He was a gentle soul and quite an intellect. I admire the love and devotion he had for his beautiful family. He lives on in his amazing sons. Cherish your precious memories. May his memory be eternal.
With love and sympathy,

Jayne, Mike and Eric I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in all the fond memories everyone has to share.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Mr. Bartlett when him and the family would visit Mike in NYC. It's always fun to get to know your friends' parents but I would always be particularly excited for their visits partly because Mr. Bartlett was so damn funny. I remember the first time I met him, I immediately knew his unique, hilarious sense of humor had been a comedic influence for Mike. I'll never forget one time in particular that we were sitting at brunch and he made a quintessential...

Jayne, Mike and Eric,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
