I also worked with Fred (and Fritz) at Mallinckrodt Chemical in the 70's and 80's. Fred was the hardest working, most conscientious man that I ever met. We had some great times together fishing and crabbing. God bless his soul and may he rest in peace.

Uncle Fred was a great friend to us, not just an Uncle. The trips to visit him at Feeney's were like a field trip. Hey Uncle Fred - take me in the Jeep, show me the gas, bring me down in the pit. And he never said no. Watching the planes land and painting my Grandmother's new apartment when we ran out of paint and he mixed two colors together and painted the kitchen in the Beckert special blend are great memories. He was a gem and I'll miss him forever.

Uncle Fred was the best of the best. I have many memories of him taking me and my brother Joe to Newark Airport to watch the planes land - our favorite time though was when he'd be at my Grandmothers for lunch and before going back to work, he'd take us for a ride around the block in Feeney's Jeep. I don't know if many are aware of it but he was also an Eagle Scout. Sadly, people like him are few and far between anymore and saying he'll be missed doesn't even begin to cover it. Rest in...
