Fred and I shared a lot of great experiences in the University of Michigan Marching Band in the late 70s and early 80s in the tuba section. I especially remember our side trips to Las Vegas after the 1979 Rose Bowl and to Mexico after the 1981 Blue Bonnet Bowl in Houston where he was living after graduation.
