Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers to Mrs. B, Bob, Jim and the Boylen family. I am so sad to hear of Fred's passing and I can't help but think of all the wonderful childhood memories of all of us growing up together and all the fun and games and times we shared. I remember Freddy turning me onto Johnny Cougar music (later to be known as Mellencamp) and he and I helping move each other into the dorms at Hope College. I will be holding on to those memories and all the competitions that he helped raise...

I pray that your treasured memories of Freddy will keep you strong. I remember quite a few fun times at Kent after a round... Bobby and Jimmy, find a river and Freddy will bless you guys with great memories...

Helen, Bobby, Jimmy & family, I'm so sorry to hear of Freddy's passing...I can't imagine the loss you are all feeling. I have such early memories of the Boylen boys in Grand Haven when our families would get together for visits at the beach. Freddy always had an infectious smile, booming voice and outgoing, friendly personality and I'm sure is up there saying hi to Aunt Pat in just that way. Prayers to you all. Bobby and family, I´m very sorry to learn of Freddy´s passing. I met him on one of his visits to Cambridge Blvd. and really enjoyed his company! A great guy gone way too soon.

I am so very sorry to see this. We grew up on College near you guys and you were always so nice and fun. When I saw Freddy's face, I was shocked, he hadn't changed at all. My thoughts and prayers for Bobby and Jimmy.

Freddy was my running mate on the basketball court. We shared many great times together in games, practices and outside the court. Freddy was full of life and always had your back. My condolences to Bob, Jim and the entire Boylen family for your loss. RIP Freddy. Your backcourt partner, Scott Fairbanks

To the Boylen Brothers and Family... I was great friends with your Dad, and astonished when he and Charley would stay with us in Manistee! Geez Fred knew MORE about my town than I did! Your dad was a "silent" partner of mine! Fred Sr. was so PROUD of his "Three Sons", would be an under statement! I was introduced to Jimmy when he was at MSU with Tom Izzo and Judd Heathcote! Jim like my son, and when the Rockets won the NBA title, he sent a number of souvenirs, pennants etc. to...

Dear Boylen Family..... I was truly blessed to have Freddy as a friend & colleague for 25+ years. I share your profound sense of loss but, regrettably, have no words that could possibly ease your pain. The best I can offer is a quote attributed to Helen Keller, " What we have enjoyed deeply, we can never lose. All that we have loved deeply becomes a part of us."
