Frederick L. "Freddie" Brown, 69, of Friendsville, PA passed away at Meadowview Senior Living Facility in Montrose on Friday, May 19, 2017. He was born in Tampa, FL on August 25, 1947 to Frederick and Rhoda Agnes (Snedaker) Brown.

Freddie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bette (Bennett) Brown, 3 sisters, Phyllis McNamara, Charis Frisbee, and Gwendolyn McCarthy, 2 sisters-in-law, Barbara Bennett and Bonita Bidwell, brother-in-laws, Ken Bidwell and Jack (Dotty) Semotchko and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Freddie graduated from Montrose High School in 1965, served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and then graduated from the University of Tampa in 1973. He was a dairy farmer and also worked as a mechanic for Silver Lake Twp.

Services for Freddie will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11am at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, 232 S. Main St, Montrose, PA with Jim Nowik officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11am prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Quaker Lake Cemetery in Silver Lake Twp.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Food Pantry, 7070 Laurel Lake Rd, Brackney, PA 18812

Senior 1965

It is with deep sadness that I hear of Fred's passing. We were in the same graduating class and he was always such a nice 'guy' in school. My sincere condolences to his wife and other family members as you deal with this great loss. Thank you for your service to our country Fred....you will not be forgotten.
