Frederick M. Danz

Fred and I shared a love for the music of Guy Lombardo. We met in Canada at the Guy Lombardo Music Festival there, and became fast friends. I was about 22 at the time and Fred was near 74. We talked almost weekly on the phone and he and Barbara were two of my dearest friends.
Fred was a regular columnist for our Guy Lombardo Society Newsletter "The Tempo" and I have saved all of his articles that he wrote.
I know he missed Barbara after she died and this moment of them reuniting...

Barbara and Fred, I always think of them together. I feel peaceful thinking of them together again. They were both loving, caring people. My sister and I went to Vermont, New Hampshire, the Boston fine arts museum, and many other places with them. Numerous times they came over to our house for dinner and we went over to their’s. My Mother and I went to London with them, and many times viewed the La Salette Christmas lights together. They will always hold a special place in my heart. ...

This is harder than when my Dad passed away. I will write more later when I can share a few stories.

Uncle Freddy made me feel special and not many people have done that. He accepted me just the way I am and listened. He opened my heart to accepting things the way they are. We enjoyed the many visits to Boston to enjoy the arts. I loved his room in the cellar where you could sit and hear beautiful music pounding through your whole body. I...

Uncle Freddy was wonderful man. Always brought a smile to my face when we visited. He missed Barbara terribly so I am glad they are finally reunited. We used to visit over coffee long into the night years ago, when I was young, and he always gave me something to think about. Dinner at his house always included the record player in the background, and lots of laughs. I will miss him.
Saturday nights at Dolly and Charlie's with Fred and Barbara always brought Interesting conversation,...

As one of Uncle Freddys many many nieces and nephews, his favorite niece actually, smirkkkkkk! Uncle Freddy was a real jokester and had so many great tales to tell. I am so very greatful that my sons had the chance to meet him and here some of his adventures. He's at peace now, and we know that is what he wanted. Hopefully he's not talking Aunt Barbaras ear off...

I am sad and I will miss Uncle Freddie. I am happy for him now that his broken heart is mended forever. He was never the same after Aunt Barbara past. Here's to you Uncle Fred from one of your favorite "PINTAs" ! I love you and I will always hold your and Aunt Barbara memmories deep in my heart. love Amy

Uncle Freddie ~ He was like a Dad to all of us, and we loved him. He took me to football and hockey games, he took our wedding pictures, he and Aunt Barbara joined the Friday evening gathering at our house, he loved to eat, loved Guy Lombardo music and provided endless slide shows of his travels. We all have a beautifully tooled leather gift, if anything was broken, Uncle Freddie could fix it, particularly if it was electronic - like a radio, tv or tape player. Nobody can forget his driving...

Fred worked with me for many years at Philips and he also took the wedding photo's for both my childrens weddings. I guess he is with his beloved Barbara she was the love of his life.
