I want to express my deepest sympathy to the Darling family. Fred left a mark on Seekonk like so few before him. From his souped up '38 Ford coupe with it's 1951 Olds engine challenging so many unsuspecting drivers along Fall River Ave back in the 1950's to his development of that large area of his Fall River Avenue - Highland Avenue properties. I spent a few Summers working at the restaurant and gift shop as a teenager with my Uncle Scott and Aunt Gloria. I would clean shrimp, pick up papers in the parking lot and fry bacon at 5am with my Uncle and would see Mr. Darling many times. Traveling the Country when I would met some one from R.I.
