It was an honour and privilege to have played hockey with Freddie. He was a unique character who will remain in our memories and will certainly not be forgotten. His sense of humour and youthful outlook made us all smile.

Condolences to Shirley and Family.
I remember playing Old Timers Hockey with Freddy at the Exhibition Arena(barns) and "apres-hockey" over beer at "Stan's Place" till 2am.
Freddy was a Gentleman on and off the ice.All Old Timers will miss Freddy's
skating,stick handling and socializing

I first met Fred Dawes back in Nov 2003 playin hockey with him and enjoyin his company after the games. my brother Fred Millard was good friends with him from back in the Bowman Bros. days. love and sympathy to wife and family.

Tom & family & Dave I'm so sorry to here about your Dad. I know how you must feel. But you have to remember that he is in a better place and the memories that you have of your dad no one can take them away. May God grant you and your family comfort at this time, and take care of each other. The Iwasuik family
