Frederick Tom Dong

Fred was a major player in our recreational bridge lives for so many years. Generous person that he was, he hosted our Wednesday and Friday night games at his home, even to the poin of coercing Goldie to make dinner for us! For that, you had to suffer his occasional physic and off-color bridge tatics. Fred was a gifted bridge player, and all of us learned much about the game from him. To the family of Fred Dong, on behalf of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, District 15 San Francisco, we would like to extend our sympathies and condolences. During World War II, Fred answered his call to duty and faithfully served his country. His sacrifices enable our country to enjoy and maintain the freedoms that we now cherish.

I am sorry to hear of Fred Dong's passing. Goldie and Fred were friends of my parents, Evan and Marion Leong, and I am their oldest child. Our sympathy to Goldie and the children and grandchildren at this most sad time...
