My dad loved Fred like a brother (he was an only child). Growing up in Reisterstown in the WW2 generation, they seemed to have some pretty great adventures. My dad worked for the CIA for 25 years and thought Fred had a more interesting life.

I so remember the wonderful times we had with your Dad as pastor of Grace Church. I will always remember traveling to Greenwich Village to stay in your old church and learning so much about how you took in runaways. Your Dad married Tom and me and baptized Ellen, our first daughter. What a miraculous man he was with always a smile on his face! He was such a blessing!

Rev. Fred was probably the most genuine person that I ever had the pleasure of meeting. He served as a Chaplin for many organizations but I saw him at work when he wore the Chaplin jacket with us at the Maryland State Police. Rev. Fred was there to console victims making our job much easier but he was also there for us when we needed him for our own issues. It was always a pleasure seeing Rev. Fred stop at the barrack to see the troops carrying his big bag of apples that he had just bought...
