Since my 1979 intro. to anthropology course at Keene College, with Dr Errington, I´ve often recalled his class and demeanor. In retrospect, he did seem to value listening in the way he´d facilitate the class. I remember the assigned readings included a spare but fascinating book on power; and one on his work in PNG. There was the cargo cult work. Then, it seemed mysterious, but if this very present man was making sense of it, I reasoned, it must be telling about humanity. I´m so sorry to hear...
