To the entire Frederick Fifer Jr family, So sorry to see that Mr. Fifer has passed away. I read the obit in the Dallas paper. Mr. Fifer was my 8th grade science teacher at Moore Jr High in Tyler. Me and all my friends just loved him and got a kick out of him. He even came back to one of our Moore Jr High reunions that I put on. Condolences to your entire family. Robert Hahn Dallas

I was lucky enough to know Fred first from university, then at work, then with family, and always as a friend - consistently over some 40 years. During that time, as I think back on what he meant to me now, he unknowingly served as my compass through his conviction to do what is right and good, for everyone in our shared circle. He chose his battles wisely and taught me how to be a winner in the things that matter. Thank you Fred, for everything.
