Not sure what to say?

I remember Fred dancing at the Celebrate Recovery event in Illinois sometime in 2004-5. He was joyful. I still quote him and suggest readings by Fred to families and peers in North Carolina.

Fred Frese changed my life. In 1996, He challenged me and others to personally testify to the reality of recovery in my own life. I have been a recovery support specialist in Illinois, and am now starting a new life in North Carolina as a peer support specialist. I rejoiced in the sight of Fred dancing with friends in Illinois' Celebrate Recovery festivities a few years later. What an inspiration he was!

He changed my life -for the better. I will always be grateful.

have worked for Fred almost 30 years of my life it was a great pleasure to not to call him a warrior in the fight in mental health he was also my friend. He showed me how to be a voice for the mentally ill that could not speak for themselves, penny it is hard to believe it been a year and I still think of him on a daily bases as I talk on the issue of mental health

Penny, you and your children have been in many thoughts and prayers this past
year. We are certain Fred is with you, giving you the strength and courage to
carry on the work you had both planned for. What an incredible couple.

Much love,
Kathy and Frank

For those that wondered how Fred could do what he did, and have the passion and drive for his goal probably did not know that Fred was a MARINE - MARINE CAPT.! As much as he loved and worked for those in the mental health communities, Fred's admitted that his greatest love and achievement was that he was a...

I am so so sorry, very easily the best speaker I have ever seen, so thankful to have met him and hear him speak. Condolences to his family. Bob Conkey
