Not sure what to say?

My wife and I met at Metropolitan State College in the late 1980s - Fred was one of the best professors and made our lives difficult back then, but prepared us for the world ahead. We can not thank him enough. They don't make reporters like him anymore - may he rest in peace. To his family, know the difference he has made in so many lives. Thank you Fred - to you and yours forever.

To all Fred's friends and caregivers. I express my deepest condolences to you. may you know peace and love knowing how important you were to Fred.

Fred was the most meticulous person I have ever known. I worked with him on some stories and it was always a pleasure. I too retired from The Post in 1987 and had no contact with Fred afterward but I will never forget him and his silent dedication to a task. May he rest in peace.
