Not sure what to say?

Fred has a lasting friendship with every person he met and his spirit will live on in those endearing qualities he bestowed on everyone. He truly blessed us with his love and we in turn loved him. Bless Fred and his roommate Lila. Y members- Sherri and David Steed

I was so saddened by Fred's passing.I have really missed him in the afternoons at the YMCA. He was always there to give me a hand, so he said.He really always brightened my day.He is very much missed by the employees of the Y as well as the members. He was just a part of the YMCA and made everyone fill welcome. He is greatly missed, but I know he is up there smiling down on all of us.

Fred the YMCA Rifleman or Mr. Lewis is missing you, you were always one of my favorite people. My last memory of you was at the track north windows counting the turtles.

I do not have to guess, I know you are at peace!

Lewis

Thank you all so much for the kindness and thoughful stories that you have offered us. I'm sorry that we have not been communicative. Just know that we love you for the support and the kind words. As Dad would always say, "Press forward and enjoy life".

I initially met Fred at the Cypress Creek Family YMCA, and during the times we shared there, I began to enjoy our friendship more and more. He found a way to make everyone feel special and to bring a smile to everyone's face and heart. He will be greatly missed.

From many of Fred's friends at the YMCA...we were all blessed to have known him. He was loved by many. His positive friendly attitude and smile that was always on his face will be missed. The afternoons will never be the same without him there. May God bless his family and please know that he was 'family' at the Y. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I will miss him at the YMCA and at
Christ the Redeemer Ch. fish fries.
Fred was always friendly.

Sally, Fred Jr, Tommy-Deborah & Alex,
Your father--and Mother,Lila--both had become close importent friends to Deb & me as well as to many other folks. We will all miss them and the good times we shared together. Fred seemed to be "My Best Friend" to every body he met. He was a special person and will remain in the hearts of all of us for ever.

Sally,Fred Jr.,Tommy-Deborah & Alex,
Your father--as well as your mother, Lila--became close to Deb and me very quickly. They were easy people to love and admire for so many people and it was a privilege and joy to share the good times we had together. They will be in our thoughts forever.
Love,
