Not sure what to say?

Whenever I visit Olden's Pharmacy, I always pause to look at the great black- and- white photos of Fred and his beloved family and employees, and I remember what a happy difference he made for us McKinneys.

Dear Karen, I've only just come across your dad's notice. Your entire family was always welcoming to me. In particular your dad was always so ready with his kind-hearted manner and expression. On Burton Terrace I felt WELCOME. Sorry to be so late in expressing my sympathy to you and your extended family. Please extend a special acknowledgement to your mum. She may remember me.

A great loss for the Weymouth Community. Fred Hackett and his brother Walter, gave so much to the Town and its citizens. Olden's is a Weymouth Institution! My sympathy goes out to the Hackett family for their loss. Jodi Purdy-Quinlan

As a fellow pharmacist I became well acquainted with Fred and considered him a good friend. I moved away from Massachusetts in 1957 but whenever I returned to visit my parents I made it a special point to stop by and say hello to Fred at Olden's. My sincere best wishes to Fred's family and especially to his brother, Jack, who graduated from Weymouth High School with me.

To Pat and the Hackett family. I was saddened to learn of Fred's passing. He and your family has been terrific to my mom and myself for as long as I can rememeber. Fred gave me my very first job, stocking shelves at Oldens and always treated me with respect. I will say some extra prayers at Christmas Mass for you and your family.

To the Hackett Family. We are sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. I remember seeing over the years at the Pharmacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time

To the Hackett family, we knew Mr Hackett through the Olden's store for many years, he and his employees were allways very helpful and understanding, there are things and people that we remember in life and my wife and I have allways remeber that on one Thanksgiving Eve at 11:00 PM I called him at his home because my wife was out of her medication, he took the called and I met him at the store and in a few minutes he refilled the medication for us, ON THANSGIVING EVE and we are sure...
