Not sure what to say?

I decide to google Mr. Hackett and discovered he had passed away. He was the principal at Wyandanch Memorial HS and in my opinion, the best of the best. Mr. Hackett made you feel seen, heard and valued! As a student, I cannot convey how much he impacted my life. When a teacher tried to unjustly fail me, I went to Mr. Hackett and showed him how I recorded all my grades. Mr. Hackett believed me and investigated and found that my grades and the grades of other students had been altered. The...

I was so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I thought so very much of him as my fencing coach in high school and as my teacher for three years of chemistry and physics. Rick was a most influential teacher, coach and friend .. I was able to see him a couple of times since my graduation many years ago and emailed a few times within the past few years. I have always admired and loved Rick for all that he meant to me.

Irene and family,
Rick was my coach in Morris Knolls in 1968.We spoke or wrote to each other over the decades. He was a fine man. I'll miss him. My condolences.

It is with a heavy heart that I send this message of sincere sympathy. Rick was an extraordinary educator and I was honored to call him colleague and friend. Deepest regards to the entire family. I will miss him.

It was my pleasure to work with Rick at East Stroudsburg University. He was intelligent, witty, and a true gentleman. He taught through modeling and I learned from him, possibly without him knowing. I will have very positive memories. You will be in my prayers.

Irene and family,

Rick was my supervisor From 1976-1978 at Morris Hills District, I will always remember fondly the years he was there. My sincere condolences to you and you family.

Irene and family,
So terribly sorry to hear of Ricks passing. My first contact with Rick was through our union activities. You might say he was my mentor; as I succeeded him as president at MORRIS HILLS/KNOLLS. We spent several early years "raising hell" with the board and administration before he moved into administration an ultimately leaving the district.

My thoughts a prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
