Not sure what to say?

Richard and Thomas- my sincere sympathy for your loss. I recall meeting your dad back in the 60's, he seemed to be very jovial and talkative. I know those were difficult times for all, and I pray that you enjoyed your times together all this time.
I hope we can gather some time during my annual trip to Michigan or back in the California area with Richard.

Dear Richard & Thomas, surviving sons:

I offer my condolences on the loss of your father. I spent so many hours and afternoons, even some weekends with your family all the way through elementary, junior, and senior high school, attending your family dinner on occasion, enjoying the spirited and highly creative ambience at the Haddock household on Iroquois and Avon streets in Ann Arbor. Your family was always cordial and I have many fond memories of our time together. All my best to...

It's been a long time since we first met our friend and not long at all since he left us. Already we miss him.

We miss him, our comrade, a man of grand intelligence and spirit, who, in the course of the on-going conversation of life, allowed all others equal and unfettered say with their ideas and beliefs, gave compassion for the acceptance of those ideas, revealed deep hunger for new and better knowledge and with unqualified devotion listened to every voice available to...

Fred Haddock was my mentor when I came to work at the Radio Observatory. He guided me through my quest for my Phd. He also was the chairman of my committee. His passing is the loss of a great man in Radio Astronomy as well as his other interests.

Fred Haddock was one of the most spiritual individuals I had the pleasure to know. Fred was so modest that most will never know the true genius he was and his significant contributions to this country. Fred's contributions to the US Military literally save hundreds of lives of people who will never even know his name. The world is truely a better place because of the life of Fred Haddock.
